Donald Lawrence

One of the most celebrated Gospel songwriters of our time, Donald Lawrence has carved out an impressive array of songs performed today by virtually every Gospel choir in America and many across the globe. A multiple winner of Grammy, Stellar, and Dove awards, Donald has found success also as a highly sought after producer, vocal coach and music director for artists such as Stephanie Mills, EnVogue, Kirk Franklin, The Clark Sisters, and BeBe Winans. Donald Lawrence is equally famous as a choir director, especially for groups he founded, such as the Tri-City Singers and Company. He and Dr. Panion first partnered for a successful performance by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra of arrangements written specifically for this performance. Subsequent performances by the Buffalo Philharmonic and the Alabama Symphony Orchestra have received critical acclaim and are now the subject of a new PBS documentary slated for production in 2024.
